For schools beginning in april 2025, the academic year starts on april 1 and concludes in march 2025.

Muharram 1, which marks the start of the islamic new year (1444h), will be a paid holiday for employees of the uae’s ministries and federal entities. Since the new year in the uae is falling on a monday, uae residents will get an extra day off!
